Kunle Ajagbe

Kunle heads the corporate & commercial group of Aidan Partners and his practice focuses on general corporate, transaction advisory and structuring, project and risk management, compliance and regulatory transactions.

In over two decades of legal practice, he has been involved in several headline transactions spanning the traditional and emerging areas of corporate and commercial law. Kunle has variously acted for and advised Nigerian, Indian, European and American businesses, public and private sector entities on legal best practices and strategy. At other times, he has advised on numerous capital market transactions including a listing on the European Stock Exchange. He brings to his work an uncommon insight into regulatory, corporate governance, compliance and legal risk issues; working with clients across various industry sectors to create value and secure their interests. In 2011, Kunle pioneered and led the first ever India focussed group in a Nigeria law firm and has remained active in building a strong professional network with some of India’s finest lawyers with whom he regularly works on cross-border issues.

Since 2009, Kunle has worked with one of the biggest law firms in the world, on a range of Nigerian and pan-African transactions and with experience in project managing transactions across Africa. Listed in the International Who’s Who Legal, Kunle is an occasional author and columnist on legal issues, volunteer trainer and adviser to non-profit organizations. He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association, its Section on Business Law as well as the International Bar Association. Kunle sits on the boards of some companies including the Nigerian Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
